K.Ch. in Finland

Members of the civic organisation Political Prisoners.eu have introduced the documentary portrait of a former political prisoner Karla Charvatova in yet another foregin destination. The movie was presented on a free-of-charge screening in the Finnish city of Tampere. The presentation was followed by discussion with representatives of  academia and wide public.

The movie documentary was introduced ín the second biggest city of Finland together with the Tampere University Alumni in Niagara Arthouse Cinema. The introductory words were delivered by the Finnish populariser of research and writer Timo Malmi, Political Prisoners.eu were represented by Tomáš Bouška who introduced Eva Skálová and Ivana Vránková. They both participated at the documentary (edit and production). The Finnish auditory filled the cinema and posed to young authors questions about the content and form of the documentary. Interest of the auditory was supported by the anniversary of occupation of former Czechoslovakia by the armies of Varsaw Pact in 1968. This historical event was carefully followed in the news and refused by the majority of Finnish population. The movie presentation was also supported by the Embassy of the Czech Repulic in Finland, which informed the expat community in the country. We owe them big thanks for this! 

The next screening is planned on 13 September 2012 in the capital of USA within the project Mutual Inspirations.
