Objectives of our volunteer research initiative.

All interviews published at this website were conducted based on oral history research of the interviewers. Oral history has its characteristic importance for researches of posttotalitarian societies where no plurality of sources exist and where party and state documents prevail. Using this website we wish to introduce what this particularly means to us in terms of communist regime in former Czechoslovakia (1948 - 1989).
